I'm coming home!
almost forgot to add an update over here. so yeah, I'll be back on march 6th. I'm heading up to beijing this sunday, and net access after then will be unpredictable. so if you want anything brought back, ask now - but I won't promise anything, because my suitcases will be quite heavy already with all the books I've accumulated. what. the. fuck.
so, uh, one of my shoes got taken last night. yes, just one. I had left them in front of the fireplace to dry, with a bunch of other wet stuff, and sometime between 3 and 5am one of the shoes just vanished. everyone was looking for it for ages, and then in the morning htere was more searching, but it's just gone. [edit] the shoe has been found. :) apparently it was hidden deep in the crawlspace. lol |

for those of you that I've forgotten to tell...
(and there seems to be quite a few people) I'm going to china at the end of april. for two years. why? SFU's Dual Degree Program. It's also the reason I've practically disappeared: way, way too much studying to do. yes, there will be a party before I leave. somehow, somewhere. I only have a couple of weeks at the end of august to rest and pack up n'stuff. I'm not sure exactly when I'm leaving; it'll be somewhere between april 26 and may 2nd. my last exam is on april 16. I do sometimes get free time on the weekends, still; it goes to the people who pester me the most, or respond to random text msgs fast enough. |

cleanup time
so I've finally started getting this disaster of an apartment in order. looks like it's gonna take a while. junk mail is overflowing from several boxes (anyone wanna burn it? seems a waste to just throw it out...) and random stuff is magically appearing. I have stuff that belongs to the following people: craig riki cory kathy this should probably be returned at some point. call me or something; I'm bound to forget again. |

somehow survived exams today :) alarm went off at 5:30am, woke up at 6:23am and ran out at 6:35; missed the bus I'd wanted but still had time to walk to the skytrain and get to the 145 before the crowds. god do we ever need more buses. saturday exams are cruel. especially at 8:30am. but I think I did fairly well on phys, and didn't do too awfully on asc. and I got the mark for my asc term paper - 84% :) now I'd like to collapse but there's still too much sugar in my bloodstream. I think I need to replace it with alcohol :) just one exam left... and I have a few days to relax before I start thinking about it |

the lj ui was getting steadily more and more unusable over the last 24 hours. now it's so bad that I can't even get to 'my lj'. there's this big text menu bouncing around, covering the left side of the page, making lots of stuff unclickable, and the lj logo is at the bottom, and loads of other little problems. this is why I stay well away from website design. things jut keep finding more interesting ways to fuck up. |

got several emails about the dns transfers making progress, and apparently I should get my LPI results this week. ahh, bureaucracy. :P slow as molasses. but it's nice to know things are actually happening :) |
