google is (hopefully) making jabber cool for non-geeks. and adding voice chat (soon to become voip) too.
the only downside is, you can't talk to people on other jabber servers yet. but you can set up any jabber client to connect to talk.google.com port 5223 with your gmail addy. :)
[edit] so, I think I'll use jabber & google talk from work now when I feel like being online. msn has too many problems here.
